Changes to the Market

It is with great sadness that I must close this market. It has become more of a time commitment than I can give it right now. Our farm is developing and growing and is requiring more of me full time on the farm in order for it to be successful. This has been my baby since we moved here. My little piece of Augusta Georgia that I brought with me to my new home. It has meant the world to me that you- our customer- came here and bought from us and the other growers on the market. I thank you for your support!

The traditional Caldwell County Farmers Market will go on and be fabulous this year. We are waiting on a few more details to be hashed out for the coming year, but rest assured we will have a farmers market in Princeton. I hope sometime in the future that we can resume this market in a new format. A way that works better for you our customers and continues to be an asset for the farmers that participate in it.

Again thank you for your support and continued understanding in this matter.
Sincerely,
Angela Magney

Is it Monday already? I am knee deep in lambing, planting and seeding. Somehow, I missed it was Monday? Yes, that was a question mark. Do all farmers get so lost in Spring and forget what day it is? Or do I need professional help?
So this is my apology, I will try and do better next week.
See you on Thursday,
Angela

Sorry- I have been down with whatever bug the kiddos brought home with them from school weeks ago. I think I might be making the turn for the better, but oh my gosh, it was a doosy!
See you on Thursday,

I am just floored as I look out the window this morning and look at the snow flurries. UGH!! It is March and I want to plant outside and Mother Nature does not care!!
Oh well! I guess I will just rest a bit more this morning before going to stoke the fire in the greenhouse again.
See you on Thursday,

This is a busy week for me- so I will make this short and sweet. The Market is Open and I will see you on Thursday at Tractor Supply between 4 and 6pm. I hope you have a great week!

I am in awe Kentucky! The crazy weather this state has, always leaves me guessing and feeling humbled to Mother Nature.
As I progress in my knowledge of farming, I truly feel blessed to be asked questions about how to start farming. I hope that I forever stay approachable and open to sharing my love of farming with others. I don’t always know the answers, but love researching and helping others get started. There is so much to learn and without the help of others I would be so lost. I thank those that have graciously helped me find my way and continue to do so.
See you all on Thursday,
Angela

Another week closer to Summer. Hannah was home this weekend and we had 6 hands on the farm working hard. It is amazing to me, how much we get done when we all work together and when there are so many of us. It makes me thankful that I have Caroline here on the farm daily to help me navigate these acres. Once upon a time in my “naive-ness” I thought I could run this farm by myself as the kiddos went off to start their own lives. It didn’t take long for me to realize that this is not realistic. I feel like a farm takes so much time, focus, and energy that I now know that I alone cannot do this. I have friends that do, but it is bigger than what I can do by myself. Every year I farm, I learn more, I get better at this craft. Every year, Mother Nature takes that confidence and sends it packing- looking for new knowledge.
I love farming! I love this constant search for knowledge! What I really love most of all right now though, is not having to do it alone!
See you all on Thursday,
Angela

As I seed the tomato seeds of summer I swear I can almost taste the first bite. So close- yet so far. I am ready Mother Nature! I am not sure she is though. It’s Winter one minute and Spring the next. I know I always say it, but Kentucky weather really confuses me- and seems confused itself. Thank goodness I have high tunnels where I can control a bit of weather myself, or I would be at a loss gardening.
See you at the market on Thursday,
Angela

We are working like busy beavers here on the farm. Planting, seeding, weeding and plotting for the future. I am getting excited for warmer weather to come, and I just don’t care what that little groundhog had to say about winter being another 6 weeks away. I am ready now!!
See you on Thursday,
